Eden Kew

Eden is a contemporary dance artist based in Melbourne. He received his education at the Victorian College of the Arts secondary school and continued his training at the New Zealand School of Dance. During this time, he performed in productions such as He Wawā Waraki Roaring Chorus directed by Malia Johnston and World of Wearable Arts directed by Malia Johnston and Victoria Columbus.

After graduating in 2020, Eden relocated to Melbourne, where he has since performed in Yuiko Masuwaka's Fusoku no bi and created a short work called Withhold'in collaboration with Alec Katsourakis. The pair expanded the piece into a full-length work, which they performed at the 2022 Melbourne Fringe Festival. In 2023, Eden was a performer in Revolve, a collaboration between circus and contemporary arts by Inplay Projects.

Eden's background in acrobatics informs his interest in blending it with contemporary dance to explore his physical and emotional limits through movement.
